Christmas Stocking
Once upon a time
St Nicolas knew a poor family, he dropped 3 bags of gold coins down their chimney it landed in a sock
Every wide eyed child then awakened to see what he brought
Since the beginning of long ago time
There is a gift everyone may find playing through their mind
Changed days of apple and oranges , nuts and chocolate tucked deep down inside our stocking
Waiting on you to find
Everything about Christmas has crossed the fine line
From wanting, to giving
For richer or poorer
New phones given on this Heavenly day
Not a moment to sit and pray
For the ones no one gave thought
The homeless the needy
the one's forgot
Christmas Stocking was it meant to be this way
In this day and age
A Christmas Carol sang not from a page
A iPad is all the rage
The fresh feel of a new paperback book
Held in your hand forever to look
It won't be hacked or blocked from your eye
The meaning of Christmas
Goodbye.
