I Am Sad

 No void no longer 


 no need to explain 


 fills my heart each day and night


swiped from below my feet 


Of course you know

 "I am sad"


Punish ourselves


Most of us do we may not be aware, this is true


Everyone is different


"I am sad"

Look at how much pain it cause 


"I am sad" leaving me to cry


An unwelcomed friend 

I do not hesitate to tell,  

STOP .. visiting me without permission

 You are unbearable 


"I am sad"

come knocking my door 

I do not open


"I am sad "

Why are you still teaching me to grow 


 Lead me forward

Help me, find me


"I am sad" you believe there

Is no choice


"I am sad"

look through the soul


welcome love and compassion to visit 


"I am sad"

sit well behind 


We often sit together now and  I barely know

"I am sad" my once friend 

 is here


"I am sad" stubborn 

Cruel, unkind


I thank you loyal friend for being with me for many many years

" I am sad"

 taught me how to 

give love also to receive
