Let's  Pray For Peace This Christmas

Peace served
Through despair
Sometimes my dying voice
within tries
Reaching out-
Somewhere
A man killed
Or a house
Burnt
I stand
And stare.

Knee deep
In dark
Water
I pray for
Peace within
the depth
of slaughter.

Our soliders
Take arm
Saving our
Sons and daughters.

War killing
No turning
Back
Peace be
With our
Soldiers
Taking orders-
Just incase
I do not
Make it
Back across
My home
Borders-
Defenders of
Pride
Or pure
Suicide.

Peace is
All that
We want
Losing life
Ghosts
Left to
Haunt
In solitude
It shall
Taunt.

Bring peace
To our hearts
If not
Someone
Shall alway
Get hurt
When the
Line of fire
Starts.
