Lone Piper
A Lone Piper
He stands behind
silent and still
no footsteps behind-
there is a Rose bush
planted on a hill
a withered leaf
laying for me to find -
A lone piper plays
sounds of haunting
chill
no movement of life
cutting out daylight
bites with a knife
deep into his soul
callings from the piper
in my ear he stole
Emotional love cherished
remembering the day
you perished
Tears fill my eyes for you
you stand still behind
me not seen -
is what you do
My breath it is warm
on this winters night
my love shall shelter
me from the vicious
storm
I kneel where you stand
in your invisible form
Beneath the stars the piper
sound travels across the land
you were a born fighter
forgiveness
I do - I understand
Come closer behind stand and be free walk
this pathway
together with me
Be no longer a slave to death
take hold of my hand
lets help set
you're spirit free.
