I reach oot ( out ) tae ( to ) touch yer ( your ) face.
I lang ( long ) tae( to ) houd ( hold ) ye ( you ) in an embrace.
whispering "I see ye , ( you ) I see ye "( you )mibbie ( maybe ) ye ( you) kin ( can ) see me tae , ( too )
Hair sae ( so ) saft, ( soft) skin sae ( so ) smooth.
The love I feel fir ( for ) ye ( you ) I shall ne'er ( never) lose.
I hear yer ( your ) voice saein ( saying )
"I am here please wipe awaw ( away ) yer ( your ) tear.
We walked taegether ( together) sae ( so ) quiet and still.
I look forever at yer ( your ) photie ( photo ) placed on the windae ( window ) sill. ( ledge)
