The Robin

With skinny legs and fat belly standing in the snow quivering like jelly Open wings and fanned tail leaving footprints in its trail Hopped away gathering twigs for a nest perched in a bramble bush to rest Gulped down bread so fast losing it in flight from its grasp Dropping it to the ground without a sound Wings a blur in flight going to and fro out of sight Way up in the clouds flying through the mist It feels like heaven it is pure bliss Taking care of the ones above looking down on the ones we love.
